FIRE & RESCUE DEPARTMENT

Keeler Township Fire & Rescue Department has been serving the residents of Keeler and Sister Lakes since 1947. The department currently shares a building with the Van Buren County Sheriff at 64121 Territorial Road.

KTFR is a paid-on call department that responds to fire, medical, and public service requests as needed. We responded to 41 Fire Calls and 155 EMS Calls for a total of 196 calls in 2024.

Meetings are held on the following days at our station on Territorial Road:

  • Keeler Township Fire & Rescue (KTFR) meetings are held on the 1st Sunday of the month at 6:30 pm.
  • Keeler Emergency Support Services Association (KESSA) meetings are held on the 1st Sunday of the month at 7 pm.
  • Training meetings for Keeler Township Fire & Rescue (KTFR) are held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 9 am.

 

Meetings are subject to change due to holidays and emergency calls. 

We are currently accepting applications for Firefighter and MFR/EMT’s.
